ON GEOPOLITICS and GEOECONOMICS

A collection of my blogs and articles posted in various websites during the past week, and a couple of journals perused.

1] In State of Nation, not only the Revised Budget 2023 is a common wealth concern to the rakyat², but the forward initiative as an alternative national economic development strategic outlook, we must endeavour to excel, too, in light of past experience in a stagnated economy without much structural reforms.

2]  The Russia-Ukraine near-border conflict and its impact upon EU economies and geopolitical dimensions are presented in the European analyses on EU’s push for strategic autonomy, under the EU Global Strategy including by the European Commission besides the FEPS Publication in March 2023.

China’s think-tanks’ analyses on emerging geopolitical situation have many discourses, and we have chosen Zhang Jian (张健) article: HERE and another posting in China’s perceptionon of EU; Zhang is the director of the Institute of European Studies at China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR). The overall summary by other China’s academics and think tanks are presented in this post: CHINA and EUROPE with their different preceptive relationships.

On another perspective, the European Union and its support for Ukraine have been regarded as that decisive instrument of Europe’s exit from history – according to Jacque Sapir, Director of studies at École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris, and head of the Centre d’Étude des Modes d’Industrialisation (CEMI-EHESS) in a Valdai Paper entitled Will EU Sanctions Produce a Winner and a Loser?

3] The week’s outlook in the Asia-Pacific region and around The World is amalgamated in MOMENTUM, whereas a collation of breaking news items are in The FRIDAY’S FILES.

Have a nice weekend browsing through content links, READ the material contents therein or DISTRIBUTE this digest freely to your peers, diaspora communities and WhatsApp FB Instagram Telegram groups.

Thank you 😊

In solidarity,
